June 21 to 24, 2025
Dr. De la Cruz participates in the 11th Congress of the European Academy of Neurology in Helsinki, Finland. The meeting was packed with new developments, from advances in our understanding of the origins of various neurological diseases, to new diagnostic techniques, and culminating with new and upcoming treatments. Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias (with novel diagnostic markers and emerging disease-modifying therapies), Parkinson’s spectrum disease (new diagnostic developments and therapeutic improvements), migraine (consolidation of new therapies and upcoming ones), and autonomic nervous system disorders (diagnosis and management of pathologies that affect it, with special attention to their presence in dizziness and other nonspecific symptoms) were particularly prominent at this edition. The dramatic impact of continuous stress on our nervous system was also extensively discussed, as were techniques for its control (highlighting here the classic but effective autogenic training).
